This course enables Jitterbit users to become experts on integrating Salesforce.com with other database and web service applications.
First we go through an APEX API Overview describing when to use the Enterprise WSDL and the PartnerWSDL. We also go through Outbound Messaging and how to ensure that your integrations are secure and reliable when using this real-time integration method.
We then go through exercises in integrating Salesforce.com with a Database application. Here we progress from the basics of the Salesforce Login and Session Management to querying Accounts and Contact information into a Database using relationship queries.
During these exercises we cover Jitterbit transformations and functions in depth from defining your structures to testing your web service calls.
After we synchronize data from Salesforce.com we then cover synchronizing data to the application using upserts and establishing foreign keys in Salesforce.com.
After synchronizing salesforce with our training database application we examine synchronization topologies and designs including various mechanisms of synchronization controls.
After understanding synchronization designs we develop a complete two way synchronization using the Salesforce.com Partner WSDL.
Finally, the course covers how to use Outbound Messaging and how to configure Jitterbit to handle incoming Salesforce.com messages securely using Hosted Web Service Operations and your Salesforce.com Client Certificate. |
